One Book, Two Titles
Grundoon Gopher the story of the friendly neighbourhood gopher who speaks all the languages of the other animals and uses his talent to help everyone from the fox to the ducks.
Maple Street:
On Maple Street the neighbours smiled,
To see her riding by.
She wore a helmet and a hat.
She got a basket for the cat.
She had her own peculiar style.
Mary and Marie - The Authors
Mary Pyne was born near Bounty Saskatchewan. She is retired from a career as a community Health Nurse. She worked not only in Saskatchewan but for a number of years in Angola and Zaire.
Marie Dunn, a native of Woodstock, Ontario, came to Saskatchewan to work as a Regional Nutritionist. She moved to a position in Ghana, West Africa for a few years before returning to Saskatoon and eventual retirement from the University. She is a volunteer and a sometime writer.
Kate and Dalfiker - Illustrators
Kate Hodgson is a Saskatoon artist who has turned her hand to papier mache wallhangings of the Saints, icon painting, and weaving. She trains people to make their own books in evening classes presented at Art Placement in Saskatoon. She is a former member of Jack Pine Press and was involved with the development of several chapbooks published by them. Her own chapbook publishing company has been born to raise money for the Station 20 West project on the West Side of Saskatoon.
Dalfiker Ahmed is a friend of Mary Pyne.
All materials and creative content for this project were donated. Purchasers can be confident that 100% of their payment has gone to Station 20 West home of the Good Food Junction.
